I've lived in Chandler for about five years. I am a high school senior and have a passion for photography. I love to take pictures of everything, but mostly people because I enjoy capturing people's personalities. I love to take candid portraits. “When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!” It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary. To take a photograph is to participate in another person's mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time's relentless melt. |
